That is the promise of Strata, a revolutionary multitrack sound library developed by Audiokinetic. To introduce it to the world, they engaged Black Box Productions to create a video campaign that would excite, educate, and immerse audiences in this new creative frontier.

Audiokinetic is recognized globally as a pioneer in interactive audio technology. When the company set out to introduce Strata — a first-of-its-kind ready-to-edit multitrack sound library — they needed a video campaign that could effectively communicate this paradigm shift in interactive audio design. Strata offered an entirely new way to design sound, giving creators full access to every layer within a sound effect rather than a flattened, pre-rendered file. The result was a leap forward for sound designers who could now shape, blend, and remix effects with precision.

The Challenge

The goal was to explain and promote a highly technical product to a specialized audience of sound designers and game developers. Audiokinetic wanted to build awareness and excitement around the product launch while helping viewers understand its creative potential. At the same time, the videos needed to fit seamlessly within the company's broader marketing ecosystem, supporting sales teams, online product pages, and community tutorials. The challenge was to balance technical clarity with emotional appeal — showing how Strata empowers creators rather than simply describing how it works.

Strategic Approach

Black Box Productions developed a two-part video strategy designed to reach audiences at different stages of engagement. The first piece was a 60-second hero video that captured attention through dynamic motion graphics and a visual breakdown of Strata's capabilities. This short film served as the primary awareness driver, introducing Strata's value proposition in a visually striking way that could work without narration across multiple digital platforms.

The second piece was a five-minute documentary, filmed at Audiokinetic's offices and sound studio, which told the story behind Strata's development. It featured the team that created the product, showing the human side of innovation and the passion that drives their work. The documentary provided depth, context, and credibility, helping viewers understand not just what Strata is — but why it matters.

Together, these videos anchored a holistic video marketing strategy. The hero film generated interest and excitement, while the documentary deepened understanding and built trust. Audiokinetic's own internal content team continued the journey by producing tutorial-style videos for ongoing engagement, creating a full content ecosystem around Strata.
